Girl with Time

Morning love

I’ve got my
Eyes on you
Peripherally

One fourth of you
Is still smashing

A smidgen of a maybe light in your eye
Is a buttercup flower
A chocolate filled with valentine
An edge of a cliff
A trance
A slap in the face
A dance

A delicate chain
Attached to a star
To pull, neatly

As we unite

Dusk dreams
Still love
Midnight

To answer your question today, aperture is what controls how blurry your background is, but not all lenses can create that much of a blurred look. I'm currently using a 50mm f1.4 lens which creates fabulous what is called "bokeh"... that blurred look. It's all confusing if you don't know what the terminolgy means, but the f1.4 signifies aperture. I'm still learning it all myself, but I know I paid an arm and a leg for a great camera and lens that will help me create such images as these. :)

And just fyi, if you add your email address to your Blogger profile, other bloggers can respond directly to the comment notification they get in their email, and it sent right to YOUR email! Makes asking/answering questions easier and more streamlined. I wrote instructions here: http://storyofmylifetheblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/did-you-know-giveaway-winner.html
